Free Zone features
Freezone is located in Dubai, next to Dubai’s main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road.
Mandatory office or physical workplace rental.
Limitation on the number of employees in the company. The company may sponsor one employee for every 60 sq ft (5.6 sq m) of rented space.
The possibility of a freelance visa.
Residents of the company are the world’s largest IT corporations. Such as Microsoft, Google, IBM, Intel, etc.

Freezone allows licenses to be issued in one of the following areas:
Software development and distribution.
Telecommunications and networking.
E-commerce.
IT services.
Internet and multimedia, in particular content creation and distribution.

The following types of companies are allowed to register in Dubai Internet City:
Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ-LLC).
Branch of a foreign company.
Branch of a company in the UAE.
Authorized capital
A minimum authorised share capital of AED 10,000 is compulsory for FZ-LLC in this free zone. It has to be paid. There is no minimum capital requirement when opening a branch of a foreign/ Emirati company.
Copies of the founders' foreign passports (if the founder is a natural person).
Copies of founding documents (if the founder is a legal entity).
Copies of directors' and managers' foreign passports.

Fees and costs
The free zone website lists the fees for each type of company to be set up and the specific service to be provided. Generally, the following costs are required to incorporate a private company:
Obtaining a business license (1 year; 1 segment from the list above)

Business License: 1 Visa (entitlement; 1 year + deposit)

Workplace rental: 2 visas (1 year + deposit)

Obtaining a work permit (for visa processing)

Timeline
The company will be registered within 2−5 working days after submission of all required documents and payment of fees.
